Day 19 of 30-Day Challenge

Today Sammy got a haircut (and did really well at the salon). So, to get the itchy little hairs off his neck, after dinner he showered early and came back downstairs to read and play in his pajamas. We read Wheels on the Bus again. He loves singing the song as he moves the movable parts in the book. After the book, we snuggled on the couch and listened to Disney music on Pandoraa, including “Part of Your World” (The Little Mermaid), “Hakuna Matata” (Lion King), and “Friend Like Me” (Aladdin).

Day 19 – Wheels on the Bus (again)

Today Sammy did not want to be in the picture, so he hid behind the book.

As I watched Sammy sitting in the chair at the salon getting his hair cut, I realized how much he’s grown.  He was so good, sitting still through the whole thing – smiling, looking at himself in the mirror, and even “conversing” with the stylist.  When he was done, he waited patiently while I got a trim.  I remember his very first haircut at Cartoon Cuts (just before his first birthday) which went terribly – it started out okay (with a lollipop and Dora on TV) but as soon as the scissors came out, he was crying for mommy (while he he was sitting with Daddy in the chair).  Of course, I was busy taking pictures…  And the haircut turned out awful.

Time is flying by us.  I don’t know where the last 3.5 years have gone…

  1. Wheels on the Bus (with the moving parts) was hands down my favorite book to read/sing to the boys when they were little…
