All right. We’re back in business.
We got back late from the mall today – Sammy needed new shoes and a winter hat (this morning, he complained, “My whole head is really cold!”) and Hubby needed to get new glasses – but we made it home in time for bath with Daddy and a bedtime reading with Mommy.
Sammy selected How Do Dinosaurs Say Good Night, which is one my favorites. There’s a whole series of these books. We started collecting them when a friend got us a copy of How Do Dinosaurs Get Well when Sammy had an outpatient surgery done on his bellybutton when he was just 1 year old.
One of the things I really love about these books is that Mama and Papa are humans while the children are these gigantic dinosaurs. Sammy hasn’t said anything yet about this – I wonder when/if he’ll make note of this.
Lately, Sammy’s very into saying “cuddling up”. He wants to cuddle all the time. It was the perfect ending to what seemed like a really long and tiring Monday – the two of us cuddling up in bed with How Do Dinosaurs Say Good Night. It’s the little things, right?
